Do Tikka rings always come with new rifle??
Just picked up a Tikka Super Varmint in 6.5×55 after a wait of 4 months–(Ordered Oct 2014.)
Gun was in box & opened in front of me at gun shop to check serial No.–no problem.
All looked good but when got home & fully unpacked box–no rings
Do Tikkas come standard with set of Tikka rings or has gun shop ripped me off?? -

Some models of the T3 don't come with rings (Sporter for eg.)
The factory rings are very basic and are usually the first thing to change. I would recommend a mountain tactical pic rail and a good aftermarket set of rings for any caliber you have. I use DNZ Freedom Reapers for one piece and pick rails, also have a set of DNZ one piece Game Reapers for use without pic rail. DNZ one piece are high so if you go with pic rail you may want a different brand that offers lower profile. Many good ones out there like talley.

Since the Super Varmint comes with picatinny rail they probably don't include the optilock rings 🙂

Since the Super Varmint comes with picatinny rail they probably don't include the optilock rings 🙂

Contacted Tikka,you are 100% correct–no rings supplied with Picatinny rail on Super Varmint rifles!!Thanks to Yukonal for offer of rings but I am in Australia & postage could be pricey.
