David Waters Tikka mags (yea that guy that got canned for being a gun guy in AU)
Ok I promised to forward this info for David and he is a good guy that got royally screwed in AU (look up david waters au) by goodyear in Australia.
He has some Tikka magazines available for pre order – when you order do “NOT” mention magazines or caliber on your paypal… it attracts all kinds of bulshit problems. log into
his email is :qnivq.jngref@bmrznvy.pbz.nh
his latest email regarding magazines for T3's is as followsHello T3 owners, interested in my Waters Rifleman T3 metal mags…
– Sorry this is a long email, but it is detailed. It is only sent to you, a customer or contact.
– Perhaps bounce to the sections that interest you.I’ve left the October details at far bottom so if you are new to this email chain, you can catch up with a bit more reading…
SOLD OUT:
As of a few weeks back, I had sold out of all mags. I want to thank every person who has supported this project. As many of you know, my employment situation has been badly hampered due to the anti-gun stands Goodyear/Dunlop have taken and executed against me. There are some good video’s on this across the internet…NEXT BATCH:
Originally, I had hoped to have the next batch in this month (Nov). However, that took an immediate turn with the changes to latest improved designs and the new shallow magazines (detailed below).NEW GENERATION: GEN 4… EVOLUTIONARY DESIGN, REVOLUTIONARY CONCEPTS…
I have a completely new generation of magazines coming. These are like apples and oranges to the Gen 3 and Gen 3.5 magazines.
– Smaller again – the smallest possible while maintaining perfect function.
– New follower dimensions – less tolerance, more diversity for different chamber shapes (varying fired case dimensions).
– New grip design
o Ribs at the front for forward fingers.
o Multiple grip indents on the sides (to suit all different size hands and grip positions).
– NO MORE NUTS. The nuts are gone…
– Cap screws replace the pan head.
– Nice round recess for the cap screw head to sit flush, instead of the elongated slot for nuts to go either side.
– Rounded sides, edges and corners – much nicer to feel, hold, rest and handle.
– 10 round, and 5/6 round.
– Machine polished internals for smooth operation.
– Tight fit, no sagging, but not difficult to insert or remove.
– BLACK follower (not white).See pics attached of Gen 4 samples. Note, these are only for 10 round, as the 5/6 round mags I have are not surface treated (beauty is important)…
NEW FINISH: ITS BBBLLLAAACCCKKKKKKK
If BLACK is what you want, then that is what you can have… See pic attached of a sample on the 223 Gen 3.5 mags.We have a new, to be patented, process that gives a very hard anodising but a jet black colour finish. This process is done cryogenically, as true hard anodising should be. Early wear tests have proven very good. As a simple test, we took a flat 8mm screwdriver to the sides of a normal hard anodised mag, and a new black unit, and there was NO wear or scratches to either. Incredible result! We are very pleased.
The black finish will be a buyer option, but buyer beware, we still do not have years of trials and proof to say this finish is as good as natural hard anodising. The choice is in the hands of the buyer and takes full responsibility.

– Capable of taking both the 223 and 204 without any modification.
– 223 10 round, 204 9 round (sorry, cannot do a 204 10 round, else 223 would be 11 round making it illegal (how stupid are our laws?)).
– Opened inside lips to have rounds of 223 and 204 family present higher with less surface contact (less force and less possible issues).
– More clearance around follower for different tapered cases (Ackly, Wylde,

308 MAG:
– Slight increase in round presentation height to reduce the stiffness of the 10 round being loaded.
– Better tapering and stacking angles for other 308 base and similar design cartridges (x47 Lap, XC, etc).
– Opened inside lips to have rounds of 223 and 204 family present higher with less surface contact (less force and less possible issues).

LONG TAPER MAG: AKA the 6.5×55 and the like…
– New!
– Will take many varieties of European historical tapered design cases (6.5×55, 7×57, etc).
– In testing, we made up a spacer and screwed to rear of mag, and it feeds 22-250… We will not provide this as a solution, however have some good instructions on how-to-do.

30-06 MAG:
– New!
– This magazine has taken a year to design. Why so long? The issue isn’t 1 mag for 1 case, but 1 mag for multiple cases, and it needs to stack more than 5…which is when the curve becomes a major geometry problem.
– Will fit the WSM in a reduced capacity – can confirm 7 easy, but I have squeezed 8 (a creative person with some hand skills could increase clearance).
– The 284 as a rebarrel option is becoming popular. This mags will fit 9 rounds.
https://p08-mailws.icloud.com:443/wm/messagepart/image005.png?guid=messagepart%3AHunting%2F338-6&type=image%2Fpng&uniq=ericbciphone&name=image005.png&size=266900&dsid=440928954https://p08-mailws.icloud.com:443/wm/messagepart/image006.png?guid=messagepart%3AHunting%2F338-7&type=image%2Fpng&uniq=ericbciphone&name=image006.png&size=244478&dsid=440928954WHAT IS THE 5/6 ROUND ABOUT?
Europe shoot a lot of matches that require 6 round magazines. Some states in the USA have hunting restrictions on magazines over 5 rounds.
Given my position, as many of you know about (aka, the Goodyear disgrace), I am spending most all of my money designing, developing, prototyping and testing this new magazine – hence the delays from Dec to Feb (very sorry). I simply cannot afford to produce 3 types of mags in the same calibre (being a 10 round, 6 round and 5 round). So, the shallow mag is a 5/6 round. But how?
We are doing the best we can to keep the depth to a minimum. As an example, the 223 5/6 round mag is coming out at a maximum depth of 64mm. That is some 11mm shallower than the 6 round factory Tikka mag. Amazing, really… Note, the 204 will only fit 5 rounds in 223 6 round form.
Depth of the 308, long taper and 06 mag are 86mm or under. That is only 11mm deeper than the factory mag, which only holds 5.
These mags will come as 6 round mags standard, unless you specify you want 5 round up front.
If you buy the 5 round, but want the mag to hold 6 rounds, you simply break away 2 tabs in the follower (easy to do), and the follower will travel deeper to give 6 round capacity.
What do you think? Good idea?
WHEN CAN WE GET THEM?
We have the last of the prototype being made now. We will need 2 weeks for a final test. So we look like it will be around early Jan before we start production.HOW MUCH?
Unfortunately, these new 10 round mags will be more expensive. There is a LOT more machine time producing them – they are extreme precision items. Extra machine time costs are around $12 per 10 round unit. The shallow 5/6 round mags are not that much cheaper, because the freight amounts, handling, anodising, etc, all cost the same. There is a small saving on material and weight for post, and a small saving on machine time.
Retail prices:
10 round mags:
– 223 A$175
– 308 A$185
– Long taper A$195
– 06mag A$199 (should be over A$200 due to all the extra material, but I am insisting on my mags not being over A$200ea)5 round mags:
– 223 A$160
– 308 A$170
– Long taper A$180
– 06Mag A$190The above prices look incrementally aligned, but they truly end up close to that based again on material and processing time.
PRE-PRODUCTION ORDER PRICES – SPECIAL AND ONLY AVAILABLE UNTIL PRODUCTION STARTS
Like all my generation design changes in mags, to help me and help you, I am going to offer a discount of the mags on the basis of increasing initial production quantity to reduce costs and ensure the above retail prices. If there are not enough takers, then this offer will be cancelled, as the whole idea of the discount is based reducing cost with greater production quantity.
10 round mags:
– 223 A$160
– 308 A$170
– Long taper A$180
– 06mag A$1905 round mags:
– 223 A$145
– 308 A$155
– Long taper A$170
– 06Mag A$185I expect production to start around 3rd Jan, with an expected delivery date of end of Feb…with some designs possibly finished sooner.

DaveOctober Update…2…
Hello happy T3 owners…
Firstly, I apologise for, yet, another email. And, I’m sorry that I now know the right questions to ask, given the overwhelming response to my previous email (thank you so much).
It is clear that there is a very strong demand for reduce capacity mags (less than 10 rounds). Many reasons are protrusion depth, or the mass of the mag when fully loaded (or even unloaded), etc. I am sold that I need to accommodate, and I thank those very keen supporters who are willing to pay NOW to expedite development. But first things first…
a) There is a lot of comments or questions, or suggestions, about making a 4 round WSM, or a 5 round, etc. Considering any mag, many of these mags fit multiple cartridges. So, a 5 round 30-06 might only be a 3 round WSM. A 4 round WSM is the most asked for of the short long mag, so that would make it a 6 round 30-06.
b) I will be making a 10 round and 6 round 223 mag. The 6 round 223 may only fit 5 204 Ruger, but we’ll see (I should hold 6x 204, but I can’t guarantee yet).
c) I will make a 10 round and 6 round in 308. The 6 round is to cater for the EU shooters that participate in field shooting etc (their strings are 6 shots).
d) I’ll make a 6 round in 6.5×55 (ie. the “long taper”) mag. Note this magazine has been proven to also feed 22-250, but an owner would need to cut back the rear of follower and glue in a plastic spacer at rear.
e) It is NOT CLEAR if there are many wanting the 6.5×55 mag in 10 round – many that said they wanted the 10 round have replied to say they want the 6 now…
f) The 30-06 will be a 10 round and 6 round for the 30-06 cartridge. This should equate to 8 and 4 WSM rounds…
g) I know a few of you strictly want a 4 round or 5 round mag. Unless I can sell 100 or so, It just isn’t worth it to try that size when a 6 round mag should only be approx. 6mm deeper.
h) 10 round prototypes have proven excellent. We now just need to invest a bit more time and money to develop the 6 round mags…Somebody asked about dimensions for reduced capacity mags. These will be firmed up next week…
Not that we can afford this, given the MASSIVE outlays we’ve endured thus far through prototyping and testing, but I'll be offering a nice little discount of any magazine of the next generation of mags above, where the buyer pays in advance of production. It helps me to help you. Please advise per below…
Very sorry to ask, and I know many of you have replied in the past…but given this news:
– Can you please reply to me if you wish to order any of the mags I’m about to make (listed above).
– Please specify:
o Mag cartridge? 223, 308, 6.5×55, 30-06/WSM (note, all family of mentioned cartridges are suitable).
o Capacity? 10 or 6 rounds.
o Quantity?
o Willing to pay up front pre-production (Yes or No).Again, I am sorry for the questions, and I thank you for the support and feedback.
Dave
