Damage to T3 after installation of an Atlasworxs bolt shroud?
Hi Folks,
I recently purchased a Tikka T3 and have since made some modifications to it.
Among other things, I added an Atlasworxs bolt handle and bolt shroud.
Today, at the range, I noticed that the shroud had come off. I didn't notice it coming off, but saw it on the ground when getting up to check my targets.
To my surprise, I noticed that the lip on the firing pin assembly, that holds the shroud in place, had sheared off!! (see photos)
Has anyone seen this issue before –? — I have heard of the plastic shroud breaking, but this is pretty extreme.

Hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like there are 2 shadows that might indicate an uneven metal grain which might be weaker than designed. In any case if you return the bolt to Berreta for repair you might want to avoid mentioning the aftermarket accessories.
