Custom 6.5 Creedmoor
Posted by dimwit on February 24, 2016 at 4:29 pmHad Long Rifles, Inc. install a Krieger 5r blank that I got for a song on the SnipersHide PX.
Bell and Carlson m40 stock, talley lightweight rings, Vortex PST ffp 4-16.
Shoots even better than I'd hoped!

I have a big case of gun envy! Great looking rifle, and awesome group!
I need to build a 260 or 6.5…What height was the Talley rings? Looks like the fit is perfect for scope height.

Nice looking rig. Would you mind telling us how much is cost to have the barrel installed and the action bedded?
I think the sling might be on backwards if you would want to use the loop to sling in.

Thanks guys. 🙂
1. The Talleys are the High size, if memory serves.
2. I only paid for chambering, installation, and muzzle threading. There was no bedding involved, since the B&C stocks have an aluminum block. That said, LRI does chambering/install jobs for $325-350, depending on the action and the blank. They'll supply a K&P blank for an additional $350ish if you want. By all accounts, the K&P barrels are outstanding; I just happened to get a Krieger much cheaper after somebody changed directions with a build.
3. I made the sling. It's on the right way. 😉

A little update: MarineTex on the grip, HBRMS bipod, paint on the barrel/receiver, EGW 20moa rail, XTR rings.

Going to bump this thread back up for a good cause. This rifle has had a pretty serious metamorphosis since my last post here. Added a Manners T4a in apparently the ugliest color they make, a Hardy Rifle Engineering Carbon Fiber barrel in 6.5 creed, Hardy Titanium muzzle brake, and the Gen II Razor is keeping the bench warm until my Minox ZP5 gets back from being fixed. This rifle is stupid light, and flat-out shoots.
