With my 0 MOA Tikka scope mount I'm good out to about 900 yds before I run out of scope and have to use a hold over for further distances.  So I opted for a 20 MOA mount, from Mountain Tactical, but noticed that the new mount does not have accommodations for the two recoil lugs that are used in the original configuration of the gun.
So my question to CTR owners who have replaced their original scope mounts is… will the recoil lugs release (along with the mount) with heat alone or is there a better procedure for removal of the lugs along with the mount??  Also, what solvent works best for removal of the OEM applied glue/thread locker??
