CTR failure to extract.
I just received my CTR in 260 Remington and the rifle has about a 90% failure to extract issue. About 10% won't even come out of the chamber and about 90% will not clear the ejection port. Also according to my reloading manual I should be at about 2700 fps, according to my Chrony Chrono with new batteries, I'm getting 2375-2414. I shoot at 4200 feet above sea level and the humidity is about 10%, temp 78 degrees. Something isn't right. Back to the CTR, it appears the extractor spring is very week because I can easily push the extractor with my finger. Any suggestions? Could the 20″ barrel cause that much of a velocity drop?
