Community Input/Help: Value for new unfired Tikka Whitetail Hunter M695 .30-06
Posted by sidious on February 29, 2012 at 3:48 amHi,
I have a new unfired Tikka Whitetail Hunter M695 Master Synthetic in .30-06. Attached to it is a Leupold VX-II 3-9x40mm Scope which is also new. Got this toward the end of 2002/start of 2003. Still have receipts.
Can you help me with an estimated value for this set? I think I paid about $700 for everything new from Turner's. I intended to go hunting with it, but life got in the way and that never happened.
I'm getting into skeet now and would like to sell this to get a o/u shotgun.
Thanks in advance for your help.

there is and has been a 595 whitetail hunter delux on broker for awhile @ $1250. i would consider that totally insane. has never had a bid. my guess would be that if you put the gun on the high end of a new similar t3 and the scope at 200 or so,they should go,fairly soon. you MIGHT get 1000 for the package. we all know about the economy. i have seen the value of collectible military arms plummet in the last 3 years. i could be off 300 either way,of course. just my .02.

Mosin46, thank you for the input. I checked gunbroker, but don't really see anything similar to my Tikka M695 in .30-06. They do have a lot of T3 listed though. Aside from being the newer model, do you know if it has better specs, etc..?

not an expert. there are those here who can tell you the differences better. however, the t3 has several shortcuts taken to keep prices competitive. didn't hurt performance a bit.

The 695 is a great rifle depending on the year of production. Some of the earlier ones didn't follow the tight specs used on the Sakos.
Other than the lack of aftermarket support, they are great guns to own.
