Burris E1 3X9X40
Posted by Steve62 on December 29, 2014 at 5:40 pmI just purchased a new Tikka T3 SS hunter combo 7m Rem Mag. It came w/walnut stock and the Burris scope. Question, is this scope any good. I have never owned one?

It's probably a pretty okay scope. Looks like they run around $250. I would use it and see if there's anything you don't like about it.

The scope might be ok but the question is “compared to what”? Big hard recoiling rifle with potential to hit at long range…get a good scope and use that rifle to its max!

🙂 I am Ma newbie and to tell ya I have had a bad experience with Burris products their scopes. I have a 6×24 x50 high end scope that I mounted on a sako 243 heavy barrell forester.Shot good and held zero real good also. After about a month the bluing was wearing off the rifle. It was not abused and kept in a high quality suitcase since I set this rifle up for competition.I called Burris and they gladly told me to send the rifle back and would inspect same. I called later to inquire as to the status of my rifle and was advised by Mr attitude like I was bothering him that it would be 12 week turnaround for repairs to scopes. This was their normal turnaround for their products. Wow stick with Leupold Nikkon or some other reputable co. and stay away from burris as far as their scopes.
