Hi what sort of shooting are you doing . Do you need a light weight one for hunting, a bipod on the lines of a ft rifle or a bit of both

mostly hunting…..don't like inferior products….do I need and adapter of is there a bipod that attaches right to the front rail?

Have a look at Steinert Neopod, very lightweight, made out of polymer but very strong, I used one on a M12 and was well impressed, but they are expensive, but for a light weight hunting bipod imho there the way to go and you can take it of in 5 seconds and store it in your pocket, it goes back on just has quickly, if it's a little too expensive have a look at the atlas V8 just got one my self for shooting steel at 1000 yards + and are impressed with the quality

Does it slide into the front rail on a 595 or do I need an adapter?…Thanx

Might need an adapted , drop them an email and see what they say

I am not familiar with the steinart, I use a Harris for hunting (mounts on sling swivel). If Larkin recommends it, I would lean to his advice.

Mystic Precision makes a bi pod that will fit your rail slot.
