Bedding points T3 Sporter
Hello all. I'm about to embark on Lumley pillar and bedding my Sporter. Considering the rigid design and the low recoil of the rifle (.223), I am considering bedding only the pillar, tang and recoil lug areas…leaving the parallels around the magazine well untouched. Curious on your thoughts regarding this.
Also looking for input on bedding over the recoil lug or simply bedding its recess and keeping metal to metal contact with the receiver.

I have the same t3 Sporter. I can't say if the Lumley pillar set up will work better than Nathan Foster's take on bedding will perform better. What I am focused on is repeatable bolt tensions that may make repeatable and documentable changes that I can work on my handloads with.
Bit verbose but you get the idea.
