Anyone tried a aftermarket match T3 trigger?
I've got a T3 Spotter in 308, LH bolt. I kind of compromised with the 308 as I wanted a 260 but Europtic sold the last LH one right before I ordered and said it would be over a year till they got another.
I've also got into f class 600 yard shooting some and the 308 does ok but not great, honestly my load development is a little lacking as I've only played with mag length loads. Basically I'm not thrilled with the 308 and it recoils more than I want so I don't get too excited to work up loads.
I'm faced with the option of selling toward a custom built rifle or upgrading. I got the trigger down to a pound with the Yodave spring but I want a lot less. I see the Bernard goes to 6oz and costs $350. I spoke with a guy that is introducing the CG Jackson Trigger for the Tikka in the US but not sure when.
I'll also be getting a top quality barrel in a more accurate caliber with less recoil, possibly the 6BR. I also need to get my stock pillar bedded.
I'm hoping for about $1200 I can get it up to match standards. I've already spent about $500 in upgrades including CDI bottom metal, improved recoil lug, bolt shroud and a nice 20moa rail with lug.
So which match triggers have you guys tried, there aren't exactly a ton out there for the T3.

I have the factory set-trigger in my .223 and it´s great for target shooting. There´s a superb “match” trigger out there to , although a bit pricey : The Bix & Andy. Austrian made marvel of a trigger and imho the best there is.

That said the oem set trigger is all i need for target shooting and in its “set” state the trigger pull is under 200gr/6 oz. I also changed the oem spring to a lighter one to get the “un-set” mode down to 420 grams / +- 14 oz.
Barnard Precision makes great triggers as well – or so i´m told. 😉 Never tested one. Yet …
