6.5×55 loads for p-dogs
I have a Tikka t-3 sporter (heavy barrel 6.5×55) that I put in a Berserk stock. I put a Vortex PST mill 6-24 scope on it and sighted it in with Lapua factory 123 gr loads.
It is awesome for p-dogs but I need to work up loads using either 140 gr amax (which I have 1k of) or 127 gr Barnes lrx. I am going for whitetail bucks in western North Dakota.
Any experienced advise?
Max range is 700 yds (energy calculation) .
Last year’s deer was 350 yds with a 6.5 creedmoore and prime 130 gr
I was not happy with bullet performance. -
