will the stock Tikka T3 lite 30-06 magazine fit in the stock Tikka T3 lite 7mm-08 rifle?

Absolutely. You'll just need to modify the bolt stop so the bolt will pick up the round from the mag.

fantastic this makes the 162 gr Amax look promising in the 7-08, I wonder what is involved in bolt stop mod?

I'll have to upload a picture of my modified wsm bolt stop. My coal for the 270 wsm is almost 3.3″
Depending on how old your T3 is, it may or may not have a delineation mark for the long action. If it does, you simply file it down to that point. If it doesn't, you file it down to the point in which the stop angles back.
I used a bench grinder and vice grips to do the rough cut (Tikka uses insanely strong steel) and filed the rest by hand.
If you want, I can get the oem replacements from Sako but they are around $45. Needless to say I didn't even put that on the tikkaperformance.com site because I plan on making them MUCH cheaper this summer.
