<p>SO, IF YOU ARE INSTALLING A SCREW DOWN SCOPE MOUNT, CHASE THE THREADS FIRST!</p>

<p>They did say Tikka plastic plugs (fill the empty screw holes) leave residue in the treads, and that may be what is binding the screws.  They suggested running a tap through the holes to clean them out. (#6 x 48)  Have one coming Monday</p>

<p>Never heard back, but the stock returned 10 days after I sent it in.  New recoil pad, new paint finish, and new stud.  No charge 🙂</p>

<p>I bought the DNZ for mine (I have a VX3 on mine).  It uses the screw mounts though.</p>

<p>One problem I had, was the toe of the recoil pad broke.  Don&#039;t know if it was shooting on bench (recoil contact?), carrying while hunting, or on my motorcycle to get into the hunting area.<br />Anyone know what mosel number the recoil pads are?</p>
