The 75 bthp should fit into the mag, but the A max will not.  You can check with Hornady on this.  I think they will tell you the same thing. 

In my experience with 223 & Varget, it likes the case as full as possible, even compressed.  Just watch your pressures.

I think the Berger website has a good article on this.  I would check it out and then make your own decisions.  Some guns like them close to the lans while others prefer them a bit away from the lans.

Yes I have adjusted the trigger as light as it will go and it is very sweet.  my guage says 1 1/2 lbs but feels more like 1 lb or less.  If I have to I'll get an aftermarket spring and see if that even goes better.

Yes it is a 8″ twist.  I also want to try the 80 gr amax bullet and see how that works.

Are these the rubber donoughts (sp) ?  where do you mount these for best effectiveness?

I would get the number for customer service from Beretta and see what they will do.  My grandson has this gun in a 300 WSM and it's a tack driver. 

Well I just purchased the same gun in 223 and have to say I'm impressed with the solidness of everything.  I'm looking forward to breaking it in and am debating whether to mount a 20 MOA rail on it before I shoot it or use a 1 Inch tube scope for a while first.

Base on this review, the actions are all the same and the bolt movement is stopped earlier on short actions.

I assume the article is correct.

It will either be a Vortex Viper PST  SFP 6 x 24 or a Leupold VX II  6 x 18.  At least that is what I'm thinking now.  I already have the Vortex.

I also use Winchester Brass and varget,  I sometimes use Federal Match Primers but have recently switched to CCI 450 which have worked very well for me.    I will likely use federal Match on some of the 75 gr loads to compare with the CCI.  I have used 69 Gr SMK's with good success, but they do not have a high BC so not sure how they will do… Read more

First of all thanks for the  response, it is helpful.  What bullets do you use when you shoot out to 800??  I'm getting ready to load some 75 Gr. Amax's.

I really like my T3 lite and am hoping  the Varmint will shoot as well.    I load a lot of loads single shot now  & that really helps accuracy.

I would say within 2 or 3 inches to the receiver at a minimum.

email to Berger,  they will send you their load data by email.

I had a similar problem with a winchester once,  turned out to be the barrel and winchester replaced it.  But typically I would say this is a bedding issue,  I would check the contact points between the stock and the barrel.
