I have clearance between the barrel and stock all the way to the receiver . I will do some experimenting with the receiver bolt tightness. Looking in my inventory I see I have the following bullets to test. 180gr. Speer deep curl, 180gr.Barnes TTSX., 150gr.Sierra GK and 200gr nosler partitions. I am fond of 180gr. in the 06 only changing bullet design depending on the game hunted. This rifle doesn't have to be blistering accurate but 1moa would be very agreeable.

I appreciate the load, I will give it a try ,I am betting I can load the 180 SGk with similar results.

Well Larkin I am with you , has anybody found a bullet/powder combo that tends to be accurate in these rifles that you know of ?  I have been hand loading for about 10yrs. mainly focusing on overbore magnums and some large pistol calibers ( now the 3006). One of the first things I noticed is that a 150gr SPBT only has neck tension in upper half of the neck the due to a lack of bearing surface length on these rather short stubby bullets.  I suspect a longer heavier bullet may give better results.
