I would have to agree with Jack. 180 Grain would be the best. I would also be comfortable shooting an elk with the 165 grain in the Barnes Vor-Tx ammo. It is the copper tripple shock bullet. My T-3 300 Win mag loves them. I can put 3 rounds in the same hole at 100 yards with them. Funny thing is all my other rifles hate them, we are talking like a two inch group.
