Was gonna go look see if there was anything I wanted, but I get this… Template Error: The template file must be given (or the template could not be opened)
Maybe it's me… I dunno. -

Hi SniperJ,
Here is the link for the 308 length DBM: http://www.tikkaperformance.com/Tikka%20T3%20Aftermarket/Tikka%20T3%20Aftermarket%20Accessories/Tikka%20bottom%20metal
Also, it is important for everyone to know that Jeff did not design the long action DBM in a way that you can take advantage of the full 3.6 inches in the magazine. You will still be limited to “book” overall length.
This will affect magnum calibers the most. In our testing, my 338 Win Mag would not feed at 3.3″
However! Using a Lapua AI mag, my 270 WSM worked great!
Just something to keep in mind. There are limitations in this design.

So, let me get this straight…. I'm having a problem loading my cartridges for a longer COL on my T3 300 WSM and if I change a few things (bottom metal and magazine), I'll get the space in the magazine to allow me to do this?

Oh, it's a keeper. Was out this weekend finalizing sighting it in at 200 yds. Thing shoots sub 1″ using berger 185 grn's and 59.1 grns of H4350. I'm really impressed! ;D

Ahhh… the ever popular debate with the WSM cartridge. It's an ongoing and long… LONG debate. The nuts and bolts of it boil down to this… Chev VS Ford VS Chrysler. You ask three people and odds are you're gonna get three different answers.
Myself, I have a 300WSM and the basis of my choice was projectile availability. The 300 (.308) has been an extremely versatile projectile in the past being used as both a recreational and professional projectile.
Quite honestly, I believe your choice is gonna be just that, your choice. You will have your reasons and have made your choice by them.
As far as recoil, I doubt there will be a big difference from one to the other… They're all gonna kick like a mule! -

Finally got around to sighting in. Ten rounds (all on paper) at 200yds.

You are VERY lucky to have the 300WSM in a heavy barrel. Beretta stopped importing the heavy barreled varmint models this year (I have no idea why!?!?!)
Quite sure the Cabellas here in Manitoba has about ten more of them in the 300 WSM.
Still don't know what kind of “varmint” requires the use of a 300 WSM… But if I find one, I'm set!On topic here… I did manage to find a Limbsaver recoil pad (precision fit) here locally. Works like a charm!

I guess I failed to mention… gunsmiths are hard to find around here. Kinda like trying to find hen's teeth.

Well, back on topic here…. anyone know if that muzzle brake will fit?

After this past weekend, I had a purple shoulder and a nice knob on the bridge of my nose from the scope… But I loved every moment of it! ;D

Good luck on fixing that flintch (spelling). You know what I mean.
Flinch???? LMAO! I'm the guy that would always win the “sissy” contests in grade school! 😛
