What kind of mag system are you using? I'm shooting berger bullets cause i cant get my ogive to the lands so im curious how others are handling this issue with reloads.

I wouldn't get too carried away with “breaking in” a new barrel. Fire 1 or 2 rounds give it a clean, then a couple more, give it a clean and continue this for about 15-20 rounds. Yes, I would try a different brand of primer. I use CCI, I cant remember the last misfire I had. I don't like anything Remington, guns, ammo or components.
BTW 1.5″ group? If your reloading you should do better than that.
