Sounds like the same problem I was having. Push the back of the tongue down so the tip is pointing up.
Work the top plastic tongue out of the clip. There will be a Z-spring attached to that top piece. Turn the Z-spring around and attach it to the slots and then work it all back together. If that doesn't work better, then you have a defective clip. I think the manufacturer's don't pay attention to which way they install that Z-spring. If the clip is defective, don't throw that clip away, you can glue that top piece in to use it as a single shot block when bench shooting. I threw my defective clip away before I heard of using it as a single shot block. You can buy the same clips you have from an assortment of places but you could find yourself with the same issue. I ended up buying a couple of metal ten round clips from Waters Rifleman (they also have five round clips). They don't use the Z-spring and they have a much better quality balanced spring. Personally, I like them. Their a bit pricey but worth the cost. I had some issues with shipping, others have said they had no issues. Good luck and let us know how this turned out. Thanks…..

TXDarren,
You're Funny!!!
I believe you have the word cancellation mixed up with “Stop Payment”. I won't tell anyone about this, we can keep it as our little secret. Stop Payment means funds were stopped before they were paid to the merchant.
When the bank pays the merchant for the amount of the check, there is bank transfer of funds. The cashed check goes back to the originators bank which is then stamped “Paid with a date”. The bank cancels the check number so the check cannot be cashed a second time or at any other time. If you signed up for a copy of your checks, you will get your cancelled check with your statement. If you want a copy, you can go online or request a copy or get your check directly from your bank. Call it what you want, cancelled, copy or paid, either way, the check is no longer good once it's been cashed.

Hello again Eric,
You stated that I didn't contact David Waters to pursue a personal response with him. As far as the Politic's went, I just responded with the facts as I know them. Sorry, but I didn't bring up the Politic's.
Now about Water's Rifleman, My order was started on August 28, 2018. I was going on a fishing trip into Canada so he held up my order until September 4, when the first package was shipped. On September 22, 2018, I sent David Waters a second email looking for information on my second package that was shipped on September 5, 2018. Since I didn't get a response from the first email inquiry, I was starting to think I was scammed and that's what I asked him. He soon responded and he wasn't happy about my scammed comment. I gave David Waters fair warning that I have used hunting forums in the past. There are many hunting forums out there and I've only posted to this forum, Hey, I don't know this guy from Adam but when he responded with “Did you get additional insurance on the shipment? It was obvious that David didn't care about what happened to my order and I felt you and the other Tikka owners should be for-warned.
Here is how the order options read:
2x 10R 223 2.4″ US$128ea
1x SRLB US$19ea (Single Round Loading Block)
1x Plain regular airmail post A$18
TOTAL US$293OR
1x 10R 223 2.4″ US$128ea
1x6R 223 2.4″ US$117ea
1XSRLB US$19ea (Single Round Loading Block)
1x Plain regular airmail post A$18
TOTAL US$282Not using Pay-Pal will save you Approx US$20 or so.
There, you have the options presented to me. I elected the first option for $293.00 and I sent a personal check. Nowhere was there any mention of additional insurance. Nor was there any mention of my order being split into two shipments, nor was there ever a receipt presented to me. Once I placed the order, I was informed the shipment would come in two packages. Personally, I didn't care as long as I got the items I ordered. From here on out, I'm hoping David Waters will give you guys and gals better customer service than what he gave to me. I'm done with this post and I'll not comment anymore. Now you can check out the new post: The Rest of the Story.

If this is an original Tikka trigger, you might check with Beretta. Their the distributor for the United States. You could call them at 1-800-BERETTA.

Jack,
You're right, I am naive, I don't know how to spell Australia. Now this is how you use a Forum, your opinions are good. How about the rest of you? Now Jack, since you commented, here's my opinion.
The reason Trump is President is because the only person running against him was Hillary. The people spoke! President Trump isn't perfect but he's got this country running in the right direction. Unemployment is at an all time low, he created almost 4 million jobs, he negotiated with other countries, he signed an order calling for work requirements for welfare, he decreased government positions by 16,000 and I could go on and on. These accomplishments are benefiting all of us. He did not raise interest rates to 16%, he did not approve sub-prime lending, he did not authorize 100% financing for fico scores over 320. These were done by past President's and I'm happy with our present economy. What's President Trump done that's so bad; not being politically correct?
Looks like you know your history of Butte. That toxic lake is being dealt with. The Anaconda Company and Atlantic Richfield is a story for another day. Thirty years ago I moved from Butte to a city in another state looking for a job, just like many of Butte's residents. I still have ties in Butte and I really miss those elk hunts an hour away from home.
Jack, I will have to agree with you about US companies screwing up. I have some experience with that and you could add your big banks and auto insurance companies. Management in these large corporations are layered with managers and all the top dogs care about is making a profit for their stockholders. They really don't care about you as a customer, your just another dollar. I don't do business with big banks anymore. I'm sure you would agree that customer service is better and more personal when working with smaller companies. I'm not saying that the people working on the front line of these big corporations are not providing good customer service, it's the layers of management above them.
Now here's an experience that some of you won't like. I know some of you buy from MidwayUSA. I stopped buying from them because they added additional shipping charges on an item they had to back order. I paid for shipping charges up front and I felt that additional shipping charges were uncalled for. I buy from The Sportsman's Guide, Heartland America, Cheaper than Dirt, Natchez, CH Cadels, Pro-Mag and more. I have never paid additional shipping charges with any of them. You all need to stand up for what you believe in. If we put these companies on notice for better customer service it will make for a better buying experience for all of us. Stay tuned for the “Rest of the Story.”

To TXDarren,
You might think I'm an idiot but I love Trump. He's a business man and he knows how to get things done. You won't see him take a back seat from his belief's. I hope he continues to clean the swamp. As far as my employer's customer service was concerned; if one of my customer service rep's couldn't solve the problem on the phone, the customer was guaranteed new hardware shipped within 24 hours within the United States. That is superb customer service. If I didn't manage my department to the companies standards, it would have been me that was fired. I also have a degree in Business Management, so Mr.TxDarren, I think you need to be better educated. This isn't how we do business in the United States.

First of all, I would like to thank Tikka Shooters Forum for giving me the opportunity to write my post. It's nice to have a place to share something that everyone has in common. In this case it's Tikka rifles. I have no ill-will towards Waters Rifleman I think he has a great product. I was a little hard on him but in the beginning I didn't know if his business was legit or not. I know it wasn't his fault that my order got lost, I just didn't like being hung out to dry looking for a package that I didn't ship and I don't think any of you would like it either especially when you pay top dollar for a magazine. I'm retired, my background was sales management and customer service was and is my first priority. I'm not one to be taken for granite and I'll call you out on the carpet if you step on my toes. Like you, I want to be treated the same as you like to be treated.
It's October 1st today and my two missing magazine half's showed up in the mailbox. I'm puzzled as to why Economy Air International would take 25 days for shipping when the first package only took 10 days and the packages were mailed a day apart. I don't know David Waters business but he should know how his shipping works. He could have calmed me down if he told me he would look into the shipping and explained some of his past issues. Maybe this package was stuck in Customs and maybe not and maybe David shipped out another set of magazine half's. I'm not going to question it because I now have two 10 round mags and I'm looking forward to using them. My personal review on these magazines are good. They load ten rounds, they fit nicely into the rifle, the bullets slide nicely into the chamber and the bullets eject nicely. I hope to enjoy shooting my Tikka Tactical even more and without any more missed loads.
By sharing my experience, hopefully none of you will make the same mistake I did. If you order from Waters Rifleman be sure you use the Pay-Pal option and make sure you insure your package. Based on what I've seen with his mags, their worth owning, a bit pricey but nicer than those plastic mags. I am also hoping David Waters has learned something about customer service and treats you better than he treated me. If possible, I think it would be good for David Waters to get some inventory shipped to the States or made in the States for the American buyers. That would sure take the pain out of shipping individual half mags when he could ship complete magazines and also tracking his shipments. Thanks for listening and in the future I'll be checking-in on the Tikka Shooters Forum.
Happy Shooting,
Montana Danps; It was mentioned that David Waters was fired from Goodyear. I don't know how that's relevant but maybe he was fired because he messed up or maybe he was fired for standing up for his co-workers and management didn't like that. I respect that, there's nothing wrong with getting fired when you believe you've done the right thing. Haven't you been fired?

Eric,
I was hoping for the same kind of results you received from Waters Rifleman. First of all, it was the first time I dealt with David Waters and I'm sure he is a nice guy, I personally don't know that. In the beginning, I couldn't find a phone number to call him so I l emailed him asking for information on his 10 round mags. Long story short, I ordered two mags and a single shot block and I wrote a $293.00 check to Bob Laird who cashed the check here in the United States. Yes, I should have taken the Pay-Pal option and the insurance coverage but at this point, I trusted David and I thought shipping would be no problem because I have never lost a package, my mistake! I don't blame David Waters for my mistake, what I do blame him for is not being up front with me from the very begging. After I placed my order, I was notified by David that my order would be received in two different shipments, why not one shipment? First order was received without David's return address listed on the package, that looked a little fishy. This package had two of the same half mag sides. I waited another two weeks and then notified David by email that I hadn't received my other package. I received no reply from David Waters. Three days later I wrote him another email and asked him if I'd been scammed. David came unglued from that comment and said he did nothing wrong and it was my fault that I didn't select the right shipping options from the very beginning. I know that when I ship something by mail, I get a tracking number so I can track my package. David should have the tracking number but he made no effort to track my package, I am on my own for tracking this package. I went through my local police department contact and they have contacted Customs to see if they have my package and who knows, maybe the package isn't stuck at Customs. So far, I have received no answer from the PD. David Waters claims he has shipped hundreds of orders to the United States. I would have considered his opinion on which shipping option to select was the best and If he had past problems getting this mags through Customs, I should have been told. Now believe me, I blame myself for this fiasco and I'm just trying to help the Tikka owners out there not to make the same mistake I made. David Waters could offer better service to his customers instead of claiming he did nothing wrong. Doing something is better than nothing and I do wish David Waters success in his business. Me personally, I have some questions on how David conducts business? At this point, I will not be doing any future business with Waters Rifleman and I'll be buying my plastic mags from Beretta. I was really looking forward to using those ten round metal mags. I'm sorry it came to this and there certainly could have been a different outcome.
Here's a What If; If David would have stayed with me and built a relationship with me, his mag orders could have been unlimited. My contact with the Police Department has contact with every officer on the force. One of the mags was going to my contact. Do you know how many 223 and 308's are in that department, and that's not counting the rifles outside the department in the officers homes. That's business overlooked. Just saying! -

I had my bull barrel threaded for a suppressor by a local gun shop for $150. Your local gun shops should know who turns the rethreads the barrels in your area. I was ok with the cost knowing it was done right.
