fantastic this makes the 162 gr Amax look promising in the 7-08, I wonder what is involved in bolt stop mod?

is it possible to convert the 7mm-08 to a straight .284 win?  I assume it wouldn't be too difficult as it is already a long action just has some type of bolt stop now that a gunsmith could modify and of course a rechamber. Then I could buy the stock long action mags or custom built.

I have the 7mm-08 Tikka T3 light and I am totally sold on this design, (weight) I want to get a little flatter shooting and a little more range. Want to move up to a little more powerful cartridge combined with the high BC VLD bullets, however I am unfamiliar with mag lengths and OACL and how that works out.
