With the help of Dave as in the trigger spring fame we realized it was the ammo. I had bought American Federal 223 at the same time as my other changes. And lo and behold when I changed the ammo to some Aquila I had on hand the problem was solved. Fyi when
I used the American Federal in my Rem 700 I had the same trouble.
