Nice collection! Who makes the stock on your varmint?

Thank you for serving!
A super lite with our ultra lite stock would be a great mountain rifle. On average our ultra lite is 6 ounces lighter than the factory stock.
I used one on my 270wsm all season and love it!
It handles recoil so well I'm going to put my 338wm in one.

I am sorry you're upset that you didn't get an instant answer to your question.
There is no data published anywhere about the super light and Sportmans Whorehouse is not very well established in the US market. Since they are based in Canada, they get much better Tikka stuff than the states.

I'll have to upload a picture of my modified wsm bolt stop. My coal for the 270 wsm is almost 3.3″
Depending on how old your T3 is, it may or may not have a delineation mark for the long action. If it does, you simply file it down to that point. If it doesn't, you file it down to the point in which the stop angles back.
I used a bench grinder and vice grips to do the rough cut (Tikka uses insanely strong steel) and filed the rest by hand.
If you want, I can get the oem replacements from Sako but they are around $45. Needless to say I didn't even put that on the tikkaperformance.com site because I plan on making them MUCH cheaper this summer.

Absolutely. You'll just need to modify the bolt stop so the bolt will pick up the round from the mag.

I tried using a 308 mag a while back but the feed lips were too far apart to hold the little 223.
You can definitely use the long action mag for 308 based cartridges. You'll need to modify the bolt stop so the bolt will slide back far enough the pick up the round.
Tikka uses the two bolt stops. One for short action rounds and one for long. A bench grinder and a file is all that is needed to extend the short bolt stop.
I took the follower out of a wsm mag and modified my 223 mag to accept it. The only problem was I couldn't load more than 4 rounds into the mag without feeding problems. The geometry of the mag spring couldn't push the larger follower up level with the friction of rounds in the mag.
I did however have great luck opening up my wsm mag to accept a long action follower. That combined with the mods to my bolt stop feeds my wsm with vlds flawlessly.
Happy New Year!

International shipping is expensive. My goal is to eventually produce them here.
Hinterland charges $35 per unit if you buy them one at a time.

The Sako Quad is a great rifle!
If only Sako would make a simpler version for Tikka.

I did some market research about a year ago and no one makes anything like this. When I asked about it on some of the gun forums out there, I didn't get any responses.
If more people chime in, then I would definitely add it to my project list.
FWIW my 223 loves the 80 grain Berger VLDs. That's what got my mind going on a solution for longer bullets.

I'm putting the long action dbm together first, but the short action one will follow shortly.
Good to know they are as sought after as I originally thought they would be.
Once they are done, you'll be the first to know!

I double checked the dimensions and the 243 mag will fit into the 595/22-250 mag well.
Let me know if you want me to get one of those for you.

As long as the barrel is threaded by Tikka it will work.
