Hi SniperJ,
Here is the link for the 308 length DBM: http://www.tikkaperformance.com/Tikka%20T3%20Aftermarket/Tikka%20T3%20Aftermarket%20Accessories/Tikka%20bottom%20metal
Also, it is important for everyone to know that Jeff did not design the long action DBM in a way that you can take advantage of the full 3.6 inches in the magazine. You will still be limited to “book” overall length.
This will affect magnum calibers the most. In our testing, my 338 Win Mag would not feed at 3.3″
However! Using a Lapua AI mag, my 270 WSM worked great!
Just something to keep in mind. There are limitations in this design.

Hi Al,
Sorry for such an absence. I can get you one from Sako but they are $65. If someone would trade you, that would be best.

You can visit the store at http://www.tikkaperformance.com
Shipping to Australia is not hard at all. The XLR Chassis does have to be shipped unassembled. Other than that, the rest of our products are no issue and we have many happy Australian customers.
One of our customers advised that we advertise on http://www.prmsc.org.au
Once we get all the updates done to this site and our store, we will definitely work on our Australian advertising.
Thank you for the inquiry!

Hi HugoB
We are having some professional inletting plans drawn up for the actual action. Both 2D and 3D renderings for a project we're working on here. I'll let you know when they are available.
I'll have barrel dimensions out shortly!

Hi HugoB
I misunderstood your email to me. My thought was that you were looking for dimensions for the action, not the barrel.
I'll have those to you today.
Sorry for the confusion.

We've been testing the prototype. The final production run shipped to us yesterday and we should have them in the store shortly!

I hate to say it but there are no aftermarket bottom metal solutions for the M695. mtguns.com might be able to whip something up for you though…
We have been tinkering with the m595 and m695 platform for upgradability and I think we'll begin manufacturing some parts once our T3 upgrades are in full swing.

Chad Helmick's Thumbhole Tactical is very nice. Unfortunately he is so backed up on production that no one can reach him right now. I have two of them and they definitely add some heft compared to the factory plastic.
The GRS stocks are phenomenal. As B789 stated, they aren't as heavy as the Helmick line, but the ergonomics handle recoil much better.
Give us a call 406-285-2371 and we can talk about the clamp on muzzle brake. I've never been a fan of muzzle brakes and was extremely skeptical of the clamp on one. Now that I've put a few thousand rounds through one, I've been eating my words. It works great!

The Limbsaver is a life saver! They're great on the higher caliber Tikkas
You guys in Canada get all the fun Tikkas while us poor sops here in the US just dream from across the border 😉
Getting you the muzzle brake in Canada is no problem. We ship tons of Tikka parts to Canada and have been cleared with Border Patrol.
Enjoy the gun! Maybe if you see a r.o.u.s. you can use your 300wsm “varmint” gun on it!

We have a muzzle brake that will fit on your gun with no gunsmithing required.

You are VERY lucky to have the 300WSM in a heavy barrel. Beretta stopped importing the heavy barreled varmint models this year (I have no idea why!?!?!)
I personally use this brake on my F (T/R) rifle and love it.

We have initiated manufacturing of some T3 parts and plan on designing a replacement trigger guard for the 595/695.
Needless to say, $175 for a piece of plastic is a little ridiculous.

One of the great things about Tikkas are that you do not need to bed them. The recoil lug design makes sure that the gun goes back into the stock the same way every time. That is the main purpose of bedding an action.
Stock manufacturers put aluminum blocks in their stocks to make up for poor craftsmanship. The block is designed to touch the sides of a round action (which the Tikka is flat sided) to align it inline with the barrel channel.
The B&C stock was not inline with the barrel channel and because the Tikka is flat sided, the inlet results in only half the contact with the recoil lug that there should be.
The Helmick, GRS, and XLR are a straight drop in stock that offer superb accuracy and ergonomics.
