Thanks guys for all your input. I've only just picked these posts up as I thought this website alerted my email! Realising there is a lot of homework involved in long range shooting.
    Thanks

Hi Larkin. Some good points about position, a far more experienced shooter has already made me take the score back a bit and get behind the rifle instead of to the side of it. Must confess that I'm in the UK as well. I've seen the WMS advert in gunmart. I take it that it's strelok you're talking about? I've got a Sightron scope on it so the reticle would be on the app. Just been to see my RFD (Myles Robertson-MBR SPORTING) and he's examined my brass and case prep. Pulled me up on quite a few points. Beginning to see that long range shooting requires so much more focus on every detail than punching holes at 100/200m. Thanks for your input

    Hi Eric and Larkin
Thanks for the replies. Good to know I don't need to rebarrel. Didn't think of a chrono but will add this in to the equation. I was shooting with 139gr SMK 42 gr VIT 160 and there wasn't enough velocity. I've never thought of 123gr, didn't think they would do 1k yds. I ll give them a try; Lapua scenars right? I'm relatively new to this so all info welcome! Good shooting guys

    Hi there,
lovely collection of rifles. I especially liked the Sporter 6.5. Wish I had bought it off you! What magazine is in the gun? Did you modify it?
    thanks
