In case anyone else ever needs to know, the 6.5 CM mag is slightly different from the .308. The one for the 6.5 CM is designed to accept a 1/4″ (roughly) longer cartridge. I had already bought the .308 version and saw the difference when I compared it to my original mag. I did not notice the stamp originally, but the one that came with my 6.5 CM is stamped M+ and the .308 that I bought is stamped M. It appears the M stands for Medium and the M+ is the same but will hold a longer cartridge. The spare I bought works with 143gr ELDX, but there is NO room to spare.

The 308 mag is used for 6.5 Creedmoor…You can get the factory mags from just about anywhere but try Mountain Tactical for their new billet aluminum mag…
Thank you. I checked Mountain Tactical but they're out of stock, so I'll get the factory for now.
