You might change your mind about the weight once you shoot it. My T3 in 300WSM had massive recoil shooting 180 gr bullets at max load. Unfortunately, it shoots max loads the best. In fact, the original factory rings could not take the recoil and bent forward after just a handful of shots. I replaced them with a DNZ Game Reaper solid mount. The rings and base are machined from a solid block. I also added a muzzle brake, Harris bi-pod, Limbsaver pad, and lace on cheek rest. Now at 8 1/2 lbs I can shoot it all day wearing a t-shirt.
