T3 hunter FTF, please help!
Hi everyone, great forum you have here! New member here, but a long time lurker. Need some help/suggestions.
Recently purchased a new T3 Hunter in 8mm Mauser (8x57IS). Odd caliber, I know, but I'm sitting on some 15,000 rounds of Yugo 8mm (70s-90s production)military surplus ammo, and I wanted a modern rifle to target shoot. Took the T3 to the range today and the rifle would not fire these rounds. light strikes on the primers and no fire. Not a single fire even after multiple strikes on a same round. I understand that this ammo has hard primers, but I also have a New Sauer Slassic XT 100 in 8mm Mauser that fired these rounds Ok, with few FTFs, and always fired on the second strike. It consistently shot these rounds at MOA or less at 100 yds! Ragged holes often. Could not wait to see how the T3 would compare, but no luck.
So, what are my options here? Does anyone make stiffer firing springs for the T3? Do not want to get rid of the rifle, as it would be a tough sale at this odd caliber. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Disassembled the bolt. Firing spring looks good. At “fired” position how far out should the firing pin protrude thru the bolt face? I suspect this may be the problem.
