  replacement thread protector for CTR .308 barrel?

  this seems like a silly question about a $12 part but… has anyone replaced the thread protector cap on a CTR? I recently got a CTR in 308 used and the seller had installed a muzzle break which I’ve removed (WAY too loud under the firing range roof). However, he didn’t include the protector cap. I know its a 5/8 x 24 thread but there seems to be all kinds of additional random numbers in the ones I see online (e.g. “.936″ .”720” etc), which I assume relates to either the length or width of the cap. But I’m not sure.

  Any advice?

  Thanks in advance. Loving my CTR, and it’s gonna get even better when the suppressor arrives in—– well, whenever the ATF says I’m a good person.
