newbie in 308 win
I'm currently getting a tikka tac in 308 and will be reloading with a buddy that knows some of the in's and out's but would like to know a good place to start. Does any body have a good recipe for 308 win. that they could help a newbie start with ? ty k

I would just pick a bullet you want to shoot, and a powder that you can find, and work thru a reloading manual. My last .308 hammered with Varget and 165 NBT's.

My best results to date are using 155gr Hornady Amax bullets at around (form the Hornady Reloading Manual) 2600fps with either Varget or H4895. I've also been testing the 178gr Amax's and they group nicely with 43gr of Varget. I run my COAL to the magazine max, which for me is 2.835″
