BTW, I should also mention that I nearly had an unforeseen issue.
Because the mount is so low, the bottom of the scope ring “claws” (for lack of a better term) actually sit slightly inside the Tikka dovetail (in other words, if it weren't for the factory dovetail, the rings would hit the receiver). This didn't cause any issues with my setup, as there is still clearance on both sides of both rings, but it might if you tried it using a different brand of rings.
