As far as I know, the action should function regardless of bottom metal, as long as that bottom metal is made for that action (ie T3 actions should accept all bottom metals from from the factory).

personally, i'd keep the CTR BM and mag. I really like the CTR mags, they're double stack 10 round mags (TRG mags). so they're short and more rugged. I just don't like the price, as for a peice of metal, a spring, and a polymer follower, that doesn't warrant them being $150+.

I'm about to buy a boyds stock once my tax return comes in, for my .260 rem 20″ CTR. IIRC the McMillan might work with the CTR BM right out of the box? I thought I read somewhere that it will just sit a bit higher?
