I have a ctr  but I didnt experience the problem yet. Sadly the release lever follow the inertia direction, so maybe a indentation in the top  of the lever will help with a stronger spring.

Anybody has disassembled the lever? maybe other  commercial strong spring  would be used before put the screwdriver.
