The action is certainly seated on the lug. I can't tell if the rock is normal or not. If I press right in front of the receiver, there is no rock. If I press farther up the barrel, there is a rock, but this is a floated barrel so that makes sense that there would be some.
I cannot get the lug out no matter how hard I tried, and I can safely say it is not going any farther in. It did crush evenly with the clay so I guess I will just go with it and start shooting.
Not sure what else to do at this point.

The gap is not uneven and the barrel appears to be floated to the point it was before. The unevenness in the pictures is likely my bad photography.

Well, I guess it is staying as is. I can't get the thing out and I am not gonna drill it and ruin it after paying $30 for it.

Are you saying that gap is too large?
