I've got a Forest in .308. Should be about the same accuracy as the Hunter. 5 shot groups about 0.9″ with Federal Gold Medal Match 168 or 175 grain. It's new, and I'm hoping to improve on that. Maybe it could use a bedding job?
I had some wood contact just behind the sling swivel, and some near the receiver. I removed some wood, but may work on that some more. The wood does flex a bit. Also, the stock bottom was inletted a little deep on the trigger guard side. Mags were hard to seat, and the rear action screw began touching the bolt with only 35 in-lbs torque (using a fat wrench). A washer between the stock and trigger guard added just enough clearance.
Also, like the Lite, the stock drops too much. I needed a stock riser for the 1″ medium rings that came with it, and definitely the 30mm medium rings on it for my 50mm objective scope.
