there is and has been a 595 whitetail hunter delux on broker for awhile @ $1250. i would consider that totally insane. has never had a bid. my guess would be that if you put the gun on the high end of a new similar t3 and the scope at 200 or so,they should go,fairly soon. you MIGHT get 1000 for the package. we all know about the economy. i have seen the value of collectible military arms plummet in the last 3 years. i could be off 300 either way,of course. just my .02.

go to the tikka site. it shows most of the calibers you mention in the varmit model. good luck finding anything in the varmit model.

shooter65 thanks for that. trying to learn the wind with the expected difficulties. you do confirm what i felt about the wind where you are being the place to start. it's the oonly place i can seem to read with any certainty. i have used a wind flag type thing @ 25 when shooting @ 200. always heard that the closer distance is more important to bullet path. correct? wind at target i can try to access through scope. how does this combination of efforts seem to you? interesting that using mirage does,t work well at higher speed winds.

i'm new here too. i have a t3 hunter in 6.5. i would sell it IF i can find a scout in 308. scope and ammo would have to go as well. been looking everywhere for a 308 scout.
