Hi Guys,
Many thanks for the reply. I have a very strict (almost OCD like) cleaning regime and thus I know its not been a case of oil or lubricant in the chamber. To answer your questions, yes there will have been water droplets on the cases without doubt. I didn't even think to wipe them first if i'm totally honest. Military rifles, or ones used in my experience have always been loaded with a full magazine, and have a closed bolt for the most part even during semi auto or automatic. Maybe a little different with belt fed weapons systems, but military rounds tend to be a little less powerful than civilian market loads so….
My civilian shooting is a lot more laborious, particularly on that day, and we were indeed waiting for one guy in particular (He would make a zombie look like Usain Bolt) to take his shots and sitting there getting rained on in between. The bolt face seems to have cleaned up ok (see pic attached) and hopefully there isnt any damage. I will be shooting again on friday so will have to check then. I will be gutted if its effected accuracy.
Thanks for your help guys
