That's a loaded question. You won't know until you try. For LR, I'd go Varmint.

Sorry, it wasn't meant to be a loaded question, I was just looking for experienced opinions, but I know and appreciate what you're saying and I agree with the Varmint option. However I have two options at the moment, I can look for a T3 varmint model in .270 or change the barrel on my 220 Swift Remington 700 to .270 Win. I'll let you know how it pans out.
