1 Bullseye
I just recently purchased/shot one. I've been using various 55 grn loads and it is quite accurate. I decided to try out some semi-new technology with it and purchased the Nikon scope with laser range finding. Very cool though in my case totally unneeded.
Since the price of the gun is reasonable and I'm not that keen on the Tikka magazines (both material and size) I went with a new DBM (bottom metal) and AI mags. Bought 10 round, 5 round, and the 'plug' that makes it easy to single shot the gun. Very nice though the plug seems to place the round a bit too far bac to easily chamber when cycling the bolt.
I don't 'love' the synthetic stock. It is perfect of course but just doesn't have the feel of a beautiful hunk of walnut. I would have purchased the Hunter model but I couldn't easily find it in .223/Left Hand.
Finally, and back to your point, I have not yet experimented in the range of accurate loads with the gun. I have some 40 grn rounds to try, a bunch in 55 grn and will likely experiment up to 62 grn which I suspect is pushing it.
I think it's an excellent piece that would only have been helped by continuing to ship the 1:8 barrel. But I have only positive views of it.
