Pendleton range 117A is one of the trickiest ranges to shoot at. many have agreed to this!
The winds blow from the ocean and are constantly switching and difficult to read.

As far as the difference between the two….. the 6.5×47 is awesome! I have very little trigger time behind the 6XC but I am very impressed with it so far.

Shot this at Pendleton 2 weeks ago with my 6.5×47 which is for sale. X ring is 5'' , 10 ring is 10''.

Have another match on the 27th and will be using the 6XC for that. Report will be coming after the match.

First, Having a calibrated reticle with known-marks is uber-important.
You can't consistently hold for elevation or wind if you don't have some sort of calibrated scale to work with.
Matching the knobs to the reticle is the 2nd most important thing.

The trigger is a stock Tikka 595. I am always amazed to see the amount of money spent on large magnums, 408's and 50's and they get beat by the 6's and 6.5's consistently. Bigger is not better in this case.

Next match will be at Camp Pendleton and I will be using the new Berger 105 Hybrids.
