<p>My 300WM is also free floating up to about 4&#8243; from the action but I thought this was due to an aluminum bedding block added, also switched the standard lug for a ss one and had the action bedded. The rifle does not seem to like the factory ammo too much but I get about 1.5MOA with Federal Power Shok 180gr. The stock maker actually wanted both but I am sure he will be able to go far with the barrel dimensions and then a gunsmith can just tune it up in South Africa for a neat fit. The stock of the super varmint is also supposed to have an adjustable cheek piece but I think the gunsmith cheated me out of it when I had the action bedded and he put the regular stock on.
