<p>Mine has the same gap, so you&#8217;re ok. The recoil lug will index the action correctly in the stock every time. </p>

I have selected a bullet seating that is just short of the lands. But when I went to load it in the magazine it was proud by .15&#8243;. So, it&#8217;s too long for the factory magazine.</p>
<p>Are there any tricks to modifying the magazine to allow for a greater OAL?</p>
<p>How about aftermarket mags?</p>

<p>Another idea. Try the same the same procedure with a dummy round and see if it still wiggles. It may be fine when chambered with a shell pushing back against the lugs. If you lack a dummy round, try a live one at your range or other safe environment. </p>

<p>I read your post and tried the identical pushing on my T3x Lite 308 and there was no movement at all. I tried it both with the rifle cocked and de-cocked, and still no movement. My rifle has very tight headspace and I have to use a some extra force to close the bolt on some types of ammo. Maybe that has something to do with it. </p>
