My son bought a T3x Hunter this summer and I bought a T3x Compact a few weeks ago. Both are 6.5 Creedmoor with 24.3″ barrels. His has etched markings on the barrel and mine has stamped markings.

Does anyone know why and if there is any significance to the difference? Both appear and function identically otherwise.

Thanks for the info. I don’t really want to add any weight, but I’m addicted to accuracy, so I may have to go for it. My son bought the wood stocked Hunter version a couple of months ago and it’s a little more accurate. Both are 6.5 CR with 24.3″ barrels. I’m looking forward to your results this weekend.

I just bought a T3x Compact (my first Tikka) and am thinking about upgrading the stock. How is the weight of the Boyds stock? Is it much more than the synthetic Tikka stock?
