I'll try to answer your questions.
The bottom of the ring by the ejection port MAY cause some problems. The brass being ejected may hit the corner and dent the neck of the brass or possibly cause the case to bounce back into the port. You'll just have to try it. You could slide the ring a little more forward.
You would want the pin in front of the ring if you use it. This way when the rifle recoils the pin will push the front of the ring. You may not need the pin.
Which side the screws are on? For general purpose rings and the T3 I don't think it matters. If you mount the rings on the dovetail without the scope in them, then place the scope on the rings, you'll know if things are out of alignment.
