Heard some concerning things about the Sightron STAC 4-20.
The more expensive STAC 2.5-17.5 is getting much better reviews for $900 vs the $400 4-20I am a budget conscience consumer and I can't say yet which scope I will try, the Minox and others are attractive(Much better than my 30 year old Leupold 2-7 duplex which is wonky). It may be that the SWFA SS 10X is a better bargain option…since I have one. I think I will try an STAC 4-20, but will be open to buying the more expensive one if I'm not happy.
Right now I have :
Vortex pst 6-24
Sightron 8×32 (love it)
SWFA ss 10X
Weaver classic 6-24 (got for a steal from Modway)
Some other cheaposI have been swapping my good scopes between my nicer rifles, but if you want a long range scope – get the Sightron 8×32. I got mine super cheap from SWFA on their Black Friday sale last fall.
If you want to save money keep posted as I will update this thread as I learn new things.
Btw I tried the Millet tac scopes and it was a disaster- they look good but mine was huge and heavy and the erector broke right away on my 30-06.
