Hi, I just finished a similar thing but used TSE (the old MAB). Tony made the barrel to suit the manners stock it start slightly narrower than the Remington heavy profile at about 1.1 inches and he finished it at roughly .9. That's in a 24 inch barrel. If you haven't commissioned Madco yet, Tony is also worth talking to, I'm really happy with his product.
