I&#039;m not going to start the process until I&#039;m absolutely sure that I need to. I&#039;ve read that the chamber for a .308 is slightly different and that a 30-06 rechamber wouldn&#039;t fully clean up the .308 chamber and and rounds fired would leave a bulging in the case. That&#039;s why I would just get a new barrel.
