Bump, for suggestions on free floating barrel?  :-

Here's the two groups I was talking about.  Thoughts on floating stock?? Any suggestions anyone?

I did find a sweet spot yesterday with my 300wm .401 3 shot group @ 100yds  loaded where they will fit in the magazine  ;D I will post a pic if I can figure out how? lol

I knew what you was talking about, no problem 😉 About Gun Smith I have already called one and I know some others and none will touch a Tikka/Sako around here.. Remington country 🙁 Maybe I can find a Gun Smith somewhere fairly close that will do this?

I was going to sell it, But I got to thinking how good it shoots and how much I like it! I'm gonna keep it and hope somebody comes up with a solution for the COAL on the 300wm? I want to put it in a B&C stock and probably buy a new bolt shroud…

Don't get discouraged.  There should only two things currently limiting your COAL.  First, check your bolt stop.  IF the bolt opens far enough to accept and feed the longer COAL that you want… you don't need to do anything as far as that goes.  Second, take a look at the magazines for the 300WM, 7Remmag and 338WM… or possibly the mag…

Well I have to say The Tikka 300wm shoots better than any 300 I've ever owned! BUT it shoots best about 10 thousandths of the rifling!!! Which it will not fit in my magazine  >:(  So I have to say I'm disappointed because of this. Bear-lots of questions to address. The 4″ ahead of the reciever is by design. I take off the stocks and sand the edges until my barrels are free floated up to the shank/reciever area.

The lug will hold up just fine. Don't doubt your purchase…Tikkas are the best factory rifles made…for the money.

Can't help with 300 loads, but I think somewhere on this site is a review on the B&C stocks. I think it's a mixed review, and in the last year I've heard more bad than good. Seems to be a well built stock, there just seems to be quite a bit of problems with the inletting.
